Hi all,
Warm Greetings !!

My question is

I have GPU - EVGA GTX 770 4GB it has 8 pin and 6 pin sockets.

How do I plug into those ?

The GPU came with 8-pin and 6 pin cables with MOLEX 4 pin at other end.I am not using those cables.

What I am doing is

Step A.

I am hooking up the default 8-Pin cables which came from the main or core of the Corsair 1050 PSU into the 8 pin of GPU.
and I hooked up another PCI-E cable into my PSU and the other end has 8-pins out of which 6-pins are together and 2-pins are separate.
I hooked up this cable into the 6 pins of GPU.(2 pins stay unhooked aside)

Is the above correct ?

Step B.

Also my PSU has another 6-pin default cable coming from the main or core sitting idle , can I use this to hook into the 6pin slot of GPU instead of attaching separate cable into PSU and connecting to GPU as I did in step A, So that I can do easy cable management.

Please suggest ?

My GPU requirement says :
600 watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 42 amps on the +12 volt rail.

For getting this minimum of 42 amps on the +12 volt rail , do I need to connect as I did in Step A or can I do it as like Step B.

Please suggest ?
