Hi guys

I have this annoying message popping once every a couple of weeks. I run memtest for like 7-8 passes (18 hours or so) but no problems or errors came up. I even did a clear win7 re-installation but still to no avail. I have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance. My specs are listed below:

- ASUS Maximus V Formula
- i7 3770K
- Corsair Vengeance LP 2x8GB 1600Mhz
- EVGA GTX580
- 2x1TB Seagate
- 240GB SSD OCZ Vertex 3
- Corsair TX750V2

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Are both modules correctly seated?

Whats eating all that memory? Check task manager when it happens.

What about virtual memory? Also as user above said, check in processes what eats RAM so much.

Hi guys thanks for the replies. This is my task manager some time after the error.

Also I have checked the sticks and they are fine. Finally, as far as I know I did not turn off virtual memory. What effect does this have?

Thanks!

Update: These are my virtual memory settings.

Well I have got 150GB free of 223Gb on my SSD. The two 1TB HDD's that I have are only used for backup purposes.

Strange, in your task manager everything looks normal, also in your virtual memory. I have the same set in my PC. Look how many processes I have & still don't get that message:

When this error happens? When you're doing something special (in game or in some software)?
I had once a memory leak during playing the game. Just noticed terrible stuttering & when I quit the game all my 16GB was in work & there wasn't anything in processes that was eating the RAM. Weird, but Opening the photoshop & closing it helped. It happened only once.

Well today it happened while I was surfing the web. I had Chrome open and a couple of folders. Nothing excessive. The only thing I can thing of is a bad sector in my SSD.

Hi guys

I have managed to isolate the problem using the task manager and it is caused by a dllhost.exe (COM Surrogate). I do not know what that file is but that is the process which absorbs all the memory. Any suggestions?
