WEP key for my 3DS

I'm trying to get a WEP key for my 3DS, and I don't know what to do. My wifi hotspot thing is a verizon 4g LTE. I don't understand!

You are likely going to have to configure the device with a PC before you can use it. The default is either going to be no security or more likely it is using WPA/WPA2. Your 3DS only supports no security or wep. If the verizon device is running with no security then you can just set the 3DS to run with no security. If it is running WPA/WPA2 you will need to change the security to none or WEP. It doesn't really matter WEP is completely cracked so it is not much better really than no security.

TBH I would ignore that as it's a more technical than you need to know.

Your DS needs a password to connect to the router I don't know if this router is like your but you can see where it says password, that's what your DS is looking for.

It doesn't say anything like that on my device. I'm not sure what a router is, but my device is a little box with a cable to keep it plugged in and charging. I've tried putting in the password, but it comes back saying that the code is invalid. My device is just simply a wifi hotspot box type of thing.
