I am planning to buy an SSD...but after googling i see that many users of the p5ne sli are facing the problem of the SSD not showing up while installing windows (It shows up in BIOS)(Only SSD and dvd drive plugged in)

I think it has something to do with the n force drivers

I have stock bios, other parts are - core 2 quad q6600, 6gb ram, gtx 650ti boost 2gb, and i have 2 sata hard drives

Will the SSD work or not?

It should work but you may need to install the sata driver during the install for the OS to see the drive. I use to have a P5N32-E SLI and ran a SSD on it.

I had an ASUS P5N SLI (can't remember the exact one) and it would not finish installing Windows on an SSD. I did try the latest drivers.

Same drive and install CD worked like a champ on an Intel Z77.

So it seems to work for some and not for others.

Everyone seems to be able to see it in BIOS
Someone told me to access the cmd thru the windows dvd and park the primary partition on the ssd...would that work??

I have a 680i (same era) and it does not like my OCZ Agility 3 SSD, OS kept hanging on install. But aside from firmware issues it does work on a P8P67 motherboard.
