Hi guys,

Today i decided to buy 2X1gb sticks of ram for my desktop pc,and to my surprise when i put both in i did not get dual channel, below is the motherboard that i have.
http://microdream.co.uk/asus-pts73-packard-bell-stingray-socket-lga775-core-2-quad-motherboard.html#.Uua1O9JFCij

The memory that the guy in the shop gave me was

1gb pc2-6400 (800mhz) 2 sticks of the same Corsair ram
My motherboard stats that the ram i can use is between 533mhz and 667mhz,and im wondering if indeed the cause of me not being able to run at dual channel is because of this reason,or maybe my motherboard isnt compatible which i doubt.
The cpu im running on this board is Intel core2Quad Q6600

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

The reason i put the ram in is because the guy in the shop said it will be fine, ive no idea if my motherboard supports dual channel or not,and i dont know how to find out,as for the bios theres no options in there for my memory or gang as ive checked, also i dont know how to update the bios of this motherboard as its really difficult to find the drivers and stuff.
