Is this a decent gaming rig?

Hi everyone,
This is my first time buying a computer used for gaming, so i do not know much, i would like to play games like: Total war Rome II, Company of Heroes 2, maybe Skyrim, on high settings, i would like to know what you all think before i buy it and would like to hear any suggestions or recommendations, here are my specs:
Proccessor - AMD 10 7700K APU (4x 3.50ghz/4mb L2 cache)

Memory
8 GB [4 GB X2] DDR3-1866 ADATA XPG V2

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 - 2GB Single Card

Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI ITX MB

Power Supply
500 Watt - FSP 1U 80 Plus Gold Certificated Power Supply

Primary Hard Drive
2 TB HARD DRIVE -- 64M Cache, 7200rpm, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive

Optical Drive
6x BLU-RAY Reader + DVD±R/±RW Slot Load Combo Drive

Operating System
Windows 8.1

Get rid of the CPU and change it to an FX-6300 along with an AM3+ motherboard

Simply put, APUs aren't worth it, especially if you're getting a dedicated GPU.

If budget permits, get a 8320 and a 990FX motherboard. If not, a 6300 and 970 board.

I would also look into getting XFX 550W PSU instead; higher quality PSU.

yes i had my doubts about the processor, its already coming to around 1200 dollars, but im buying it from the ibuypower website and it seems expensive, does anyone know where i can buy on a different website? thanks for the answers, if i was to change the processor, motherboard and power supply how much more would that cost?
