I'm looking for help in identifying and fixing my computer issues related to a general slowing down of my computer games performance.

If all else fails formatting the hard drive and reinstalling everything will remove all unwanted software. Just make sure you backup everything first and make sure you have all the drivers you need for everything.

I can can pretty much guarantee its not overheating and my hard drive is just over half full. I had already come to suspect it was background programs. I already tried to delete some but it hasn't helped much at all. I'm almost wondering if I should due a full reboot/reload the OS, scrap everything on here. The programs I've found haven't successfully gotten rid of background processes.
