So it used to work and now it doesn't?
If so I doubt the driver "not" being there was the cause. (You probably already had a working driver)
When you go into Device Manager (Start > right click Computer > Manage) does it say anything about your Network Interface Card?
Your board is also like 7 years old, it's possible it's dying on you.
