Usb problems faceplate.

Hi guys,
Whenever i insert a flash drive in my faceplate, the system locks up, freezes and then resets.
I recently added "msi supercharger" which is supposed to overamp the usb 3.0 ports in the faceplate for smartphone charging. Might adding that software have changed some settings to the USB ports?
I must add that the issue happens even after i removed the supercharge thingy.
the motherboard is MSI GD-65 gaming z87
the case is zalman z12 plus and it has 2 usb 3.0 ports in the faceplate. (on top of the case that is)

Solution
I fixed it.
For posterity's sake the issue was caused by comodo geek buddy, i removed that, now the faceplate works and the usbs arent causing freezes anymore.

YAY ME!

I expect a best solution here.
checked the event log and got this error
File System Filter 'CFRMD' (Version 6.1, ‎2012‎-‎07‎-‎17T07:05:37.000000000Z) failed to attach to volume '\Device\Harddisk0\DR0'. The filter returned a non-standard final status of 0xc01c0016. This filter and/or its supporting applications should handle this condition. If this condition persists, contact the vendor.

Shouldnt have anything to do with my hdd's both the ssd and the data disk are working fine.

Msi fast boot option in the bios.
If enabled it allows fast charging of usb devices as part of the selection as well of speeding boot up.
it`s like an auto detect if the device is capable of fast charge. Clearly usb sticks are not.
Turn it off in the bios if, enabled.

The error should go away.

It was off, but thanks. I'll keep it off and read on it further.
