I suspect the Hyper 212 EVO may allow the processor to run too hot under load. There is a 9590 with water cooling available. If a swap for that was possible, I would recommend going that route instead of trying to cool such a hot processor with air.

Yes, to be more specific, if you're going to spend the amount you will have to, to cool an FX 9590 with air, you might as well cool it with water, which will be more effective. AMD sells a 9590 CPU that comes complete with a closed loop water cooling kit.

On another note, if you don't really own any of the parts yet, you aren't saving much money over an Intel build by buying such an expensive AMD processor.

I agree that an 8350 would be the best decision, and it also comes with a cooler, provided you buy the retail box and not an OEM version of the chip.

I'm not sure I understand your comment about leaking, SR-71. I am recommending a fully assembled, closed loop cooler, if the OP insists on purchasing a 9590, however I'm not actually recommending he buy a 9590.

If price is no object, why are you even considering building a high end computer with AMD parts? Intel can easily outperform them.

Of course the 9590 is faster than the 8350. It's also a lot more expensive and runs way too hot for what you get in return, again why I'm recommending Intel rather than AMD.

Is there a reason you keep looking at AMD chips and ignoring Intel?

I'm not recommending you purchase an overly expensive computer, however, if a 9590 is in your budget, so is an Intel chip.

"by the way my dad is paying for all this and want the best parts "

When you said this, it made it sound as though you had no budget. Perhaps you do have a budget? Can you enlighten us a bit more?

My concern about the Hyper 212 Evo was only when cooling a 9590, not an 8350. I would see nothing wrong with cooling an 8350 with a Hyper 212 Evo.

the 9590 is pretty much a factory overclocked 8350, which produces alot more heat and requires more power. the stock 8350 will be plenty performance without the heat and power requirements of the 9590

A 9590 is also expensive, costing more than the highest tier i7 processors, unless you are looking at -E parts, which are not exactly aimed at consumer systems.

SR-71's suggested configuration is just fine. If something's not compatible, it's because you haven't listed what parts you are starting with.
