So for my first post here, I have a question about safe GPU temps for an Nvidia Geforce 540m 2 gig graphics card in a Dell XPS 15 L502x. When idling, the temps are around the upper 50s. When playing a game, the temps reach 80-90 degrees Celsius. Are these temps safe? Should I be worried? I've also done my first ever fan cleaning yesterday. The fan wasn't that dirty, so I sprayed it with some compressed air and closed it back up. Should I check the heat sink?

Those are pretty normal, laptops get hot when gaming. it is important that you have good airflow when gaming, such as near a window or even have a fan going across the laptop. I remember when I would play COD on my hp and it would shut down from over heating unless I had a fan going.

Ya, I recently bought the Tarus Space Saving Cooling pad with 2 fans. So far its been working pretty good. I was just curious whether any more steps should be taken.
