i dropped my wd element hard drive and now it wont connect to my computer

i dropped my WD hard drive and now it wont connect to my computer, the light on the front is still flashing and it has that humming sound still.

please help

It's quite possible you broke it.
They aren't designed to survive falls.
if it's new you might be able to return it.

If it's out of warranty you could try removing the drive from the case and installing it as an internal drive and see if it will work. If you are using a laptop then you could try removing the drive from the case and connect it to the laptop via a USB to SATA cable and see if it will work.
