I have $1000 to spend on a gaming computer. This includes monitor, OS, and tower. I need Intel, as I plan to upgrade in the future. I also prefer larger monitors. I also need XFire/SLI compatibility on the motherboard (one or the other depending on the graphics card), as I plan to upgrade in the future. If you would, please post some builds. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

to get the deal you goota get 70 dollars in rebates

this is the 770 build

lemme see if i can find a cheap 7970 that might shave off 20 buchs, but with the mail in rebate the 770 is only 289.99 which is a steal for that card. it really is a beautiful card.

sorry the 770 is 309 after rebate... it was 289.99 yesterday. I watch the market very closely on this stuff as the prices change and can swing literally 100 dollars in a day.

1,113.94 will get you premium everything, except case. also it will get you an i5-4670k which is probably the best gaming processor out there. it has room to overclock, and i7's provide very minimal increases in performance. Also you graphics would be a 3 fan cooled 770 with 2gb of VRAM. you also get 8g of system memory. the only way to save money is to lessen your future proofing. or try to find a good deal on a 7970, with will offer comparable performance to a 770. but the 770 will provide better performance in sli. to be honest, you'll probably not end up upgrading graphics for atleast a year. 7970, and 770 can pretty much handle anything at 1080 with some variations and limits.

Newegg.com that screen shot was my shopping cart from that website. they usually have to best prices cause they mostly do computer components. however you can check microcenter.com tigerdirect.com and sometimes amazon. you might snatch a deal from the others. microcenter has the best proccessor prices that i can find anywhere except they dont ship them so if you live near one you should buy from them.
