How to merge two ide drives, one has OS other has applications and data

You should be able to clone your C: Drive (OS Drive) over to the new 2TB hard drive without issue. Any data on the other 500GB drive can easily be copied over. Any programs that were installed onto the other drive will need to be re-installed onto the 2TB drive.
