I just need to have an answer urgent please. Also if I use an A8-6600k will it consume less power? I'm going to be emulating ps2,wii, and gamecubw games. and also some c++ compiling

Solution

possibly but emulators work at half the speed of regular stuff so i would seriously suggest not doing 1333mhz

min i could suggest is this

clean of the stuff on the amd heatsink and use mx4 paste its better then the junk stock paste and should keep the cpu from overheating till you can get a better cooler

recomended below when you have the money
best low cooler at 4cm good for cramped itx systems

the build will allow you to upgrade further to when the a10 kaveri...

avoid using low memory speed memory

get a fm2 a88x plus motherboard contact manufacturer see if its had a bios update to latest version

2133mhz ram 8gb

a10 7700k or a10 7850k
kaveri has a shared memory pool so you get much better benefit

will do emulations proud

if you cant afford either of these go with a richland a8

apus require fast memory to get the full performance out of them
kaveri is way more powerful on the graphics side then richland

220w is a bit weak considering youll have other components there 350w to 400w i would recomend being the lowest but there are some 500w which are cheap as chips now

the psu listed below would have plenty of power and allow you to hybrid later on min requirement is 500w anyway so you meet that requirement

the build will allow you to upgrade further to when the a10 kaveri come out in 65w chips

reason im suggesting 65w chip only is itx have very poor airflow and 100w chips are like ovens if in a itx

windows 8 will support the apus cores better then windows 7 due to fact windows 7 is thick and doesnt understand modules which is what amd calls there packaging of cores

2 cores are in each module which windows 7 doesnt get and doesnt feed the cores properly
