Hey Guys,

I'm currently in the process of building my own PC; after ordering all the parts needed I was doing some additional reading and came across some information that has me a bit worried. I bought this motherboard http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-b85mg and this memory http://pcpartpicker.com/part/a-data-memory-ax3u1600w4g9rb

My concern is that the motherboard requires 2 sticks of the memory in order to work properly. If that's the case, I plan to buy a second for a total of 8gb, but I don't want to start messing with anything until I know for sure.

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Here is my total build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2GYiz

Solution
You are fine - DDR3 1600/1333/1066 MHz is what your board takes. It will run with just one and the max memory is 32 GBs.

Are you planning any memory upgrades (additions) in the future? If so, I strongly suggest that you get the RAM now, and get a matched set.
