Asus P5G41T-M LX3 can run in x1 2gb ddr3 RAM and x1 4gb ddr3 RAM

Guys my mobo Asus P5G41T-M LX3 have 2 slots for ddr3 ram, the first slot having 2gb ddr3 ram and i want to add another 4gb ddr3 ram for 2nd slot, equivalent for 6gb ram overall.. i want to know if my mobo can run or compatible in 6gb equivalent ram.. tnx peeps..

Yes you can run, make sure you are adding the same frequency of RAM for example if 2GB you use is 1600Mhz the 4GB you are going to add should be the same. Your motherboard can support upto 8GB

Or else simple, buy the same model of RAM you have, instead of 2GB get 4GB. It will have same frequency then. This is best and quite simple !
