My 4100FX set to stock settings idles in the mid 40'sc and if prime 95 is on for 10 minutes it stays at around 58c. is this hotter than normal? If i OC to 4.2 then it is the same results

Solution
at that voltage you can run 4.2 all day maybe 1.38 if it doesnt seem stable.

ventilation is key, maybe another intake will help, they stock fans?

I wouldnt recommend it in an enclosed space

that case isnt bad at all, add one to the side and have your fan on the 212 facing toward the exhausts if it isnt already

Sorry forgot to mention i have a 212 plus cooler so do you think it is seated wrong?

hmm that cooler should be running a little cooler, is turbo disabled? what voltage are you running?

whats your case fan setup?

Yea i had it OC to 4.2 without changing voltage earlier and it would idle at 45. I have a rosewill challenger so its got good airflow. PSU is blowing out bottom. front intake and top and back exaust. though it may be that i have it in an enclosed desk shelf. it was running at 50 and i opened the door and pulled it out and it went down to mid 40's. still seems hot. and no turbo is not on...actually just looked and it was....its now set to 3.6 and stock voltage of 1.3750

Ok so you dont think it is seated improperly? yea I know but thats the only spot for it. ill have to make it get better airflow. where would i mount another intake? and these are my temp stats, I hope TMPIN1 is the right one http://
