Hello I work for a small company and I've been task to setup our customer service e-mail. Google is hosting our domain.

I have to set up an e-mail alias so multiple people can receive/send as our info@companyname.com e-mail.

So, I figured I'll follow the step by step process to setup alias. Everything went well and multiple people can receive incoming mail to our info@companyname.com e-mail. Although the trouble started when I have to set up the send from e-mail alias function. I need to receive a confirmation e-mail to set this up. Which I am not getting.

Is there something I am doing wrong, or is there a bug with Gmail.

The step by step process I am following. (I don't get the confirmation-mail in Step 5)

Thanks and advice would be appreciated.

Solution
I found the problem.

I wasn't getting the confirmation e-mail because google groups filtered external e-mail. For example the alias e-mail I setup can receive a coworkers e-mail with the same @domain.com. Although somebody with any other e-mail will get completely rejected and I wont receive a notice. So, I just cleared all filters and I got the confirmation e-mail.
