Hello guys, new to the forum and I'm helping my cousin choose parts for his first computer build. His budget is around $850. I got a decent build for him but the total went over his budget around $900+ without including the Monitor -_-. The only piece of hardware I could think of to downgrade is the motherboard.

Requirements I am looking for:
-$100-$120 price range.
-preferably ASUS Motherboards since I've had good personal experience with them but I will also consider others. So please recommend others if need to.
-No need for Overclocking but would be nice if it does
-Supports Intel 3rd or 4th gen processors but if there are better motherboards with AMD support I am willing to consider.

These are a couple motherboards I had in mind:
(Low reviews)Asus B85-PLUS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131996

(Was on my build but to pricey)ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131989

(Low reviews)ASUS P8Z77-V LX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CMDc1v7on7wCFTCCQgod_CUAbg&Item=N82E16813131824&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Intel+Motherboards-_-N82E16813131824&ef_id=UuRdAgAABQocNUY-:20140128022712:s

I will HIGHLY recommend the i5-4670k with a CM Hyper 212 EVO, as (when overclocked) it's performance is significantly better than the stock i5-4670. Also, try using a Corsair TX or RM series 650 watt PSU, as 750 watts is overkill (my i5-2500k O/C to 4.2GHz and a 560Ti O/C to 1GHz uses less than 650 Watts). If you are overclocking, only the Intel Z series allows full overclocking. Intel got annoying and locked every other chipset. The AsRock boards seem to be the best for under 120 USD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157460

Thank you :).
Decided on the motherboard you recommended and the Intel Core i5-4675k. Also the power supply, I had no idea it was overkill haha. I assumed 750W was a minimum when you get a good GPU and CPU.
I will also inform him about the fan when I help him overclock in the future.

Thanks for the suggestions it helped
