I recently bought this tv to use as a computer monitor:

http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-Digital-SE50UY04-50-Inch-120Hz/dp/B00BXF7I9M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390877550&sr=8-2&keywords=seiki+4k

I got it for 650 dollars at sears, I'm pretty happy with it. At 4k it's great. The 30hz in desktop use seems a bit sluggish, but I think the extra resolution is worth it right now.

Anyway, today I came home from class and when I turned on the screen it just showed a blank screen, although it did say 3840x2160 30hz at the top right. I couldn't get anything to work, so I hooked up my old TV also, so I could at least change the resolution on the 4k tv. The tv still works fine at 1920x1080 at 120hz, but if I try to go to a 4k resolution it only outputs a blank black screen. I tried switching out the hdmi cable, that didn't change anything. I also reinstalled my video driver, which also didn't change anything.

I use a gtx 660, connecting to this tv using hdmi. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the tv or with the video card. I'm just pretty disappointed, I was really happy using this tv at 4k, I'm just trying to get it to work again. Nothing changed between the time when it was working and when it stopped. When I first got the tv I did update the firmware.

I know not many people would have experience with this, but I'm looking for some insights that might help me fix the problem.

this is what I found 3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI. 4096x2160 (including 3840x2160) at 60Hz supported over Displayport. Support for 4k tiled MST displays requires 326.19 driver or later.

it should be running fine, I woulkd say if you ahve another gpu test it with that,

maybe try setting up a custom resolution in the control panel for 30hz and see if it pops up

Using the nvidia control panel doesn't allow me to do anything above 1920x1080, although it does let me do that at 120hz. The whole thing was working fine for over a week, which is why it's really strange that it's not working now. It was working this morning and then wasn't working when I got home.

Unfortunately I don't have another video card to test it with.. the gtx 660 is actually a new card for me, my old card couldn't do 4k because it didn't have an hdmi output

how is this 50" just for 1080 gaming? will i be able to use my nvidia panel to set it for 120hhz? it is good for FPS games like battlefield 3 and 4, crysis, medal of honor warfighter?
i cant game at 30hz and i have a 60hz now so i was considering getting one for these for my gaming monitor at 1080 and have the added benefit of higher res for movies and video watching?
