The error message above is e error message I get along with a registry error message.

I am using a Msi laptop and am unable to start in safe mode as well as do not own a windows 8 disc. After reading a few threads before posting this one I think it may have something to do with avast antivirus, however, I do not know how to un-install avast when I cannot start my computer. Please if you have any tips or knowledge in this error, post below. Thank you.

bugcheck 0xc000021a = STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED

basically a user mode process failed, something critical like winlogon.

You need to boot into safe mode and repair the system or uninstall the offending driver.

Try holding the <SHIFT> + <f8> while attempting to boot to get into recovery mode

If that fails, just keep trying after 3 failures it should automatically boot into safe mode if the drive image is still good.

there could be, i just helped a relative that had a custom laptop and turn out you had to hit f11 and they had nonstandard menus.

best to talk to the manufacture, normally they will put a hidden copy of the OS on your machine that you can access to reinstall the OS. The fact that F11 got you into a menu means i have no idea what they changed or what options you have, or what you should select. It is a custom version modified by the vendor to suit their needs. When they do that, they have to provide the support unless someone happens to have the same machine.

ok so i can get into the area to restore to a later point... however none of the restore points work D: I have the option to wipe out my hard drive(NOOOOO) and then i also have the option to use a windows 8 recovery disk which I do not have, nor do i have a windows 8 key and msi is nearly impossible to contact.

welp i messed up :/ I tried to boot in safe mode, so in the bios i turned on the "quick boot" option... long story short now i cant access anything, disabled all the starting commands because of how msi or windows 8 works, however on another note i believe microsoft just sent out an update for windows 8 because my computer randomly updated and now it's fixed :D however i would like to hear how i can access the bios and turn the "quick boot" off because because i would like the option to troubleshoot my computer(since we all know something like this will happen some time again in the future). so is there a way to turn that off from windows or set something in windows to start the bios automatically
