Noisy Hard Drive

I recently bought a workstation grade hard drive for an office use pc and the hard drive seems to be pretty noisy when ever an application is in use or on the internet. Is this normal? It's an ES 750GB from Seagate.

Seagate drives do tend to have some pretty loud operation at times.

Best thing to do is to run a low level check on it using the Seagate utility. http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/seatools/
