Hi guys, I am wanting to get the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD7 and put it in my azza 203 atx case will it fit I have a m5a97r 2.0 in right now and it has holes along the inside next to the mobo that the mobo does not cover and correct me if I am wrog but a eatx mobo is a little bit over a half an inch wider is all and the screew holes to me look as if you can put a eatx in and they would line up but I'm sure. if anyone could verify weather or not it will, I would be very great full. Thank you in advance

I've kinda gotten away from ASRock because of their past BIOS problems and gone back to ASUS, so I'd rather not give a recommendation regarding that M/B. Sorry. :(
No EATX is Extended ATX it will not fit in a regular ATX case layout.

However after looking at the M/B measurements if you have the case M/B tray width to accommodate it, it may fit but not have support stud mounting for the far outer edge, as the Gigabyte is the same length as the ASUS with the width being different, standard 9" ATX width for the ASUS, and 10.35" for the Gigabyte, if you have the case clearance it just might fit.

You could always put some hard rubber supports measured to the stud height, to strengthen the outer edge of the motherboard as the rubber won't conduct electricity.

I have done that many times with motherboards that actually were supposed to properly fit but the case M/B tray did not have adequate support for plugging in cables and such on the outer edge.

Biggest question is do you have the clearance to the drive mounting bays? It doesn't look like you do? :pfff:

Well,It looks so close that I don't think that I am going to chance it, because I will never use the fourth pcie anyway. What do you think about the ASRock 990FX Extreme9

After taking a closer look the drive bays slide in from the front and it looks as if I might have the 1.35'' towards the back of the hard drive slots, so I am going to do some measuring and see if it will fit, so you are saying that all of the screw holes will line up except the outer edge towards the drive bays. If there is not enough room, what mother board would you recommend.
