Boot from CD/DVD: Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter

So last night my computer sent me warnings about my hard drive telling me I should back it up. I ignored these warnings to my demise,

This morning upon turning the computer on. It came to the loading screen for windows then shot back to the initial black loading screen and said:
Verifying DMI Pool Data ..........
Boot from CD/DVD :
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.

from today I've tried to use the system disk however the computer cannot find any back up files. I've also tried moving Sata ports, changing priority in boot settings. But nothing has seemed to work. any more suggestions?

I also have bought a new hard drive and installed it but I'm still getting this error.

What system disk are you trying to use? Did you make a recovery disk? Or trying to use the disk that came with the computer?
Is it actually trying to boot from the DVD but can't find a bootable disk there?

Just installing a new hard drive won't help you here, you need to boot from a Windows 7 installation disk (or a recovery disk that you can use to image the computer again) to install Windows on the new drive.

I'm using the Windows 7 Recovery/Installation Disk provided when I first got the computer
Hard Drive is #1 priority for booting so I don't think it's actually trying to boot from DVD

EDIT:
I had tried to use the 'startup repair' option before and it hasn't worked but I've given it one more try and it has worked...but i've been waiting 45 minutes and the startup repair is still in the process of "attempting" the repair which is worrying since it states it should only take several minutes.

Don't try to use the old drive unless you have gotten all your files off it already. The more you use it, the greater chance you have of it totally dying.

Test the boot disks with another system, maybe they are bad. You can also download a base Windows 7 setup disk from Microsoft, do a web search for "digital river Windows 7 ISO", then pick the version that matches the Windows key that should be on your computer.
