I've heard that you should re-install windows when you're going to be using a new motherboard. Is this necessary, recommended or just something I can say pass on?
it's not a must but it can make windows unstable, also hit and miss on if it would work at all. what you should do before switching motherboards is to uninstall all chipset and card drivers on the hard drive.
