Heatsink squeezed, error?

I have a huge heatsink. The snapons didnt fit good so i used hard force to push them on, and the heatsink has marks and been bent on several places on the sides.

Does this matter at all and or make any errors?

If it is placed well and doesn't get in the way of the fan and other hardware components then it is ok. If it does make suspicious sounds when you switch on the computer then stop.
