Watercooling for a PC

Hi,

I'm currently making a watercooling for a sli of 780 ti and a i7 4930K. I'm not really sure of what I've done so I would like to know what you think about it

Case : 900D
Waterblock CPU : Koolance 380i
Waterblock GPU : EK-FC GTX 780 Ti
Pump : EK D5 X-Top Pump Top w/ D5 Vario Pump (Here's a link : http://bit.ly/L5X4Oy)
Reservoir : XSPC Photon 270
Radiator :
- 2x Alphacool UT60 480mm
- 2x Alphacool ST30 240mm
Tubing : Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT (3/8 ID & 1/2 OD)
Liquid : Distilled Water <3
Fans : Aerocool Dead Silence

So, I'm not sure about everything and that's why I came here. For the tubing, I'm hesitating about the primochill acrylic one. For the GPU waterblock, what about the swiftech and koolance one? Anyway, I think that's all.

Thank you very much for your time and help

Cordially,

Nathan David

Personally I went with the 1/2 ID 3/4 OD just because its the biggest and thus will allow for the greatest amount of flow at the lowest pressure. As for the fans, I am partial to the Cooler Master Blademasters, mostly because I use high FPI rads (~38FPI) which requires high static pressure, and these fans are the highest static pressure you can find short of a jet engine. I believe that push/pull is beneficial especially for thicker radiators, as it will help move air that could become "lost" or slow down through the distance that it has to travel if it isn't a very high static pressure.

Also the EK supremacy with their new jet plate is the highest performing LGA 2011 waterblock.

That looks like a good setup, however you left out fittings, as well as I believe that you have an overkill of radiator size. Having 240mm per waterblock is considered enough to handle high overclocks, you have twice that amount. Also I would not go for acrylic tubing unless you REALLY know what you are doing. The Primoflex advanced LRT is great tubing, I have it in my build and like it, and Linus uses it exclusively for his builds. I also have that same exact pump as you and love it too. Just as personal preference however, I would use an EK block for your CPU, also for aesthetic purposes.

Hi,

Thank you for your fast answer, I was surprise. That's right, I forgot the fitting, I will look at it, thank you for that.
For the acrylic tubing, it's just for look, I think that, for now, I'm gonna go with the primoflex, do you think the size I choose is a good one? I took the Koolance 380i because of his performance with LGA 2011, but I will look for EK.

For the radiator, I think I will remove a 240mm, because as you say, it's pretty useless at this point but I don't know if I will remove the other or a 480mm, I will look into that too.

I forget to talk about the fan, I was thinking of the new Aerocool Dead Silence Fan, do you think a push/pull would be useful?

Thank you again,
