Hey guys.
New to the pc gaming and I know my pc isnt anything special. Im looking for a graphics card to replace the integrated one. At the moment skyrim runs at like 2-5 fps ( extremely un-playable as im sure you know)
Technically the intergrated graphics should be the only thing holding me back. Can anyone suggest a card that will work in my pc.
I have a compaq presario cq3020an
Here are the specs ( I did add another 2gb stick of ram): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c01800250

Its crap I know. Cant afford a new one. Help!!!
Thanks in advance.

Solution
probably nothing more expensive/better than an HD 7750 or GTX 650/650ti for that dual core processor, or else more would be a waste. if you are needing something cheaper do tell

Not really. A Radeon 7750 would be a good choice, and that can power itself entirely off the PCI-e slot.

Ok so I think either a 7750 or the gtx 650 sounds good. Im leaning more to the gtx. Will I need a larger power supply for it?
Also in your personal opinion, what would you pick?

yeah you will want a new PSU. if you decided on the GTX 650/650ti you will need a quality 450w PSU (leave some headroom for safe operating temps etc) . XFX, Seasonic, Super Flower, CiT, Antec, Corsair all good brands. you could get away with less watts but make sure you get enough amps on the 12v rail of the psu in question.

Thanks for the help beezy. One more question, with the psu. What ports should I be looking for? The one I have now has p1 to p8 on the cables. Sorry I am a bit of a noob at this. This computer is kinda just for practice until I get to build a full gaming pc. But so far thanks

I wish I could help here but im not sure about ports..
