Which resolution to choose, LCD's or Graphics card?

I have an Emerson LCD with maximum resolution of 1366x768. My graphics card produce 2560x1600. Typically when playing games what resolution should i set the game to ? graphics or LCD panel ?
any help is highly appreciated.

The LCD was designed with a native resolution of 1366x768. While you could use a different resolution, the best picture quality would be to at1366x768

Theres no point setting it above your monitors max resolution. Set it to 1366x768.

Depends on the screen, resolution, and picture quality. If he ran an internal resolution of 1600x900 on the card, it should look fine.

You can also throw FXAA on top for a virtually performance free picture quality improvement..

start with 1366 x 768 and try in each game, bumping up the res...if you notice frames dont take a hit, and the quality looks better and no skips or tears keep it?
