Is it worth the money to go for the hd598 or should i stick with the hd 518 instead?? I listen mainly to rock n hip hop! Well, are these headphones packed with a decent bass??And is it really that necessary to buy a soundcard for the headphones??? I am going to use these headphones with my laptop as well as my mobile phone!! Or shall i go for the hd 558???Are there any major differences between the 3???
Thank u in advance!!!

I would strongly recommend the Audio technica M50's. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50S-ATH-M50-Headphone-STRAIGHT-WIRE-/370998023256?pt=US_DJ_Monitoring_Headphones&hash=item5661349458#rwid

I too looked at the headphones you listed above but these audio technica's are amazing in every aspect. Crisp sound, good bass, comfortable, amazing sound isolation, and of course incredible sound.... I can only say good things! And for the $97 you are getting a $200+ headphone. It also has a low impendance (38 ohms) which should work for nearly anything even a small mp3 player

About the sound card... I paired up my audio technicas with a soundbalster Z http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX48280 audio card and sounds amazing. Even...

Well i don't know much about headphones but i do know that in the majority of cases, getting a sound card is not necessary. Unless you have a low end MOBO, on board sound is usually fine. I would also recommend plugging your headphones into the back of your computer to reduce interference. If you do want a soundcard the external ones are probably your best bet. Good luck with your headphone choice.

But I am not very familiar with the HD 598
