I bought a laptop some time ago which has, as far as i understand 2 video cards, one being Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and the other NVIDIA Geforce GT 630m. Now my question: Is it possible for both cards to be used at the same time for a better performance or should i choose one and uninstall/disable the other and if yes which one?

Firstly check your bios settings and make sure to set the onboard VGA to AUTO....and when you restart with minimum resolution install the gt 630m driver and it will automatically set your gt 630m as the main device
you can find the drivers here http://www.geforce.com/drivers choose 600M series and 630m then choose your current windows version....or you can easily download geforce experience and it will automatically update and install your drivers
