New BioStar TA970 SATA only MB; trying to use an Atapi Zip250 internal--no joy trying two
purchased IDE/SATA adapters or an IDE to USB adapter.. Slackware 14.1 or 13.1 doesn't see the ZipDrive.. Tried all known modprobe's--no joy.. Might be impossible?? TIA.

Does your kernel have ATAPI floppy support, either compiled in or as a module?

Find a friend with Windows machine, connect your USB adapter, copy data over to a USB key. You'll save yourself a lot of headache ;)

Greetings and thanks for your suggestion which sounds good.. I have machines with internal Zip and a couple external Parallel Zip's so
no problem.. I just wanted to get the Zip250 working in that one computer.. Thanks again.

Greetings: Neither.. I didn't think a floppy module would work.. Neither the BIOS or kernel see the drive, so the adapter might be bad... Thanks.

Neither, but my problem is deeper I think as the BIOS doesn't see the drive at all.. I need more learning, methinks.. :^).
