Having wireless connection issues with a static IP

Hi all, and thanks in advance for any advice.
I work for a very small company and operate informally as their IT guy. (Very informally, considering I get paid no extra for it and I myself have had no formal training, but I digress.) Yesterday my boss finally got approval from the big boss to get a wireless router to replace the extremely old monstrosity with nonfunctioning wireless we had before. So naturally I was tasked with setting it up.
The wired part was no problem. We have a static IP with our ISP, and I successfully got that up and running with the provided IP, gateway, subnet, dns, etc. And I thought I had the wireless set up correctly - both devices (an Android phone and an iPad) were able to connect using the password I set up.
However, when trying to actually use the internet connection on the wireless device, the browsers cannot connect to anything. Attempts to access websites load briefly and then fail.
I'm assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that this is related to the static IP settings. Is it something I need to change in router settings, or do I also need to enter static IP settings into the Android and iPad? And if it's the latter, I'm assuming I need to change a part of the IP settings so there's no IP conflict. Which part would I need to change?
Sorry if these sound like dumb questions. I appreciate your time and if any more info is needed, I can provide such later while at work. The router is a D-Link Wireless AC750 (DIR-810L).

Yep, DNS is screwed up - that is what translates names to IP addresses.

I'm not really familiar with the d-link, but in the same place that you set up DHCP, there should be a way to enter IP addresses for a primary and secondary DNS server that it will hand out when it hands out IP address. Your ISP should have given you the addresses of their DNS servers, or you can use public servers like google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Since the computers hooked to the router via wired ethernet are having no problem with internet connectivity, I'm assuming I'm pinging from the android or ipad, right? Do I need to enter the static ip into the network config on those too, or should it auto connect via the router's configured settings?

Ok, so I tested the ping via my phone both ways. By letting my phone auto obtain info and not setting any advanced settings for the static ip (leaving it at default dhcp) I am able to ping 8.8.4.4 but not www.google.com. So I'm assuming I need to change something in the router settings? Where would I find that and/or do you have any idea what I should change?

That was it! Thank you so much - on the list of info my boss gave me from our isp, there was only a primary DNS and not a secondary, so I left that blank when I had first set it up. I changed it to 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 and it's working great! Thanks again!
