GPT Hard Disk Issue

I had a HDD with GPT protected partition in my laptop. Laptop now doesn't work. I mean there's no OS in it. And I am unable to install Windows in it or create any partition. So I tried to connect it with my desktop. But it doesn't show in there. I checked in Disk Management too only 1 partition is shown when there were 3 in laptop. I don't know anything about this disk partitioning. I checked on net there it was written to clean the drive in command prompt. I don't know it will work or not but it will result in loss of data that I don't want. Any help would be appreciated

Hold on a second.

First of all what was the laptop running windows 8.
And second of all, what was the Os on your system was it windows 7.

And last of all what is the make of the laptop and it`s model number.

1st GPT does not works/see under WinXP
