Display randomly splits/offsets- Swaps Left and Right side

So I've had my laptop for 2 years and this problem has only happened twice in the last 1/2 months, But basically my display cuts in half and switches sides. I've been able to fix it by just restarting my laptop, but was hoping one of you had a permanent fix for it.

try updating the graphics driver

you can do that from device manager . Let windows search on the web fr an update

Sorry for the late reply, but apparently I'm already using the latest drivers. (After checking with device manager)

Could this mean that my graphics card is dying?

if it is a failing graphics card its a symptom I have never seen before

If you have the latest drivers then uninstall them and reinstall a fresh downloaded copy

and if the problem persists try another monitor . I think its more likely to be the monitor than the computer
