Does anyone have a similar build to mine and tell me how much fps they get on their systems. How will mine run? I just ordered parts to these and am still not confident that'll be able to run very smoothly.

CPU - AMD FX 6300
Mobo - Asus M5A97 R2.0
GPU - Gigabyte Geforce GTX 660
Memory - 8Gb 1600
PSU - 500w Corsair CX Modular.

Also will I be able to overclock if the game doesn't run very well?

Solution
Rust isn't that intensive, don't underestimate the 660 too much, it should be pretty capable, maybe just dont turn on AA, or turn down shadows. Rust also has alot of issues, gameplay and most definitely performance wise, since it is still in alpha/early beta.

I guess, but I'm so angry I was researching for so long and I missed the 7870. It didn't even come into my mind until I bought the 660 as a final decision. Then I checked some benchmarks, found out 7870 was so much better and 15$ cheaper + Rebate. I'm so stupid

dont beat yourself up about it. you can overclock it slightly, and there are only slight differences between max settings and high settings, so the game will still look great

dont worry about it. if your interested in overclocking anyway msi afterburner is a great tool for beginners. i use it and its very helpful. i tried out the overclocking but my card had really bad temps to start with so i went back to stock. just google overclocking with msi afterburner for beginners, you should be able to find some good stuff. and if not, you can always post a new thread and have the experts help you out
