As you can see this is not my strong suit. I am currently building a new pc and I have a few friends helping me. I noticed on the dvd drive one that is says "Asus BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer" now writer I assume would mean to write files to a disk so like burning a disk. But will that also read disks? Because if I cant read the disks then I assume i couldnt install anything that uses a disk. Including the operating system. Here is the link to the build if you need it for some reason. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2JbN5

You will need to purchase software to play bluray movies.
