Upgrade from Phenom 965 tro FX-8350?

Hi, i currently have the phenom 965 overclocked to 4.2ghz running with a R9 280X. I think that i am experiencing bottle necking. in games like BF4 when i look into certain directions i get FPS drops and when i overclock my GPU i actually get worse FPS. I was wondering will the 8350 be a worthy upgrade from the 965, i will be overclocking also.

going with the 8350 would be fine for gaming.. you can just oc the shit out of it(maybe even get up to 5.0 GHz which would be awesome) and get very extraordinary performance for the price

The thing is i only have enough money to stay with amd at the moment so going to intel is not really an option unless i sell my motherboard and cpu and install a new motherboard and intel cpu but i would only have like £300 and that is being optimistic!
