I am going to get the dual-x r9 280x, but I don't know will the card fit in my case, I just want to know how do you people calculate the space needed for any card. Is a normal ATX case enough?

Solution
Most normal ATX cases should work fine, as the largest 280x (with cooler) comes to about 301mm in length.
You can check this by measuring from the back of the case to the beginning of the hard-drive cages, but if you can take out the hard-drive cage(s) you should be fine no matter what.

P.S, what case do you have?

Your case may be abit of a hit and miss, dependant upon which after-market cooler your get, here's a table of the overall sizes of each after a cooler has been applied.
Your case can support 281mm Graphics cards without removing the HDD cages, according to the official site.
