why is microsoft office powerpoint 2010 telling me my 25 character product key is invalid?

Are you using the same key on the same computer again after reinstalling windows by upgrading hardware or something similar? Due to change of hardware sometimes it can happen in which case you need to get this resolved by contacting MS (Microsoft).

Sometimes an upgraded MS-Office via internet won't recognize the original key as well in which case one needs to uninstall MS-office and then clean his registry using a software like CCleaner and then reinstall MS-Office from the disk. After that reactivate and if all things go well then update MS-office via internet.

If you did none of these things then there's nothing you can do expect to crack it, which obviously is illegal and something i would advise against. Contact MS about this talk to them, hopefully they will resolve it for you. Good Luck!
