Hey first time poster here so forgive me if I miss some of the details needed to get help.
Just finished a build on my new desktop first time I have encountered a overheating issue.

Mobo MSI 970A-G43
chip AMD fx-8350
vcard radeon R9-270
Ram 2 stick 4g ddr3 ripsaw

Under idle in windows AIDA64 shows temp at 32c
Same conditions monitored using HWMonitor 32c
Bios at idle shows 60c
Pretty strange difference right there?
Running occt stress test it lasts about 5 minutes before it gets close to 80c and I shut it down.
Moderate gaming like WoW lasts about 45 minutes before PC shuts down
Rust/nether/etc fps games maybe five minutes before shutting down

My thoughts since Im a nub I used the pre loaded heatsink grease. I did set the heatsink to chip very evenly with a good squish and a twist. Never had trouble with similar install until now.

if there is any way to show logs to better help diagnose this please let me know what to download or post.
Would really like to figure this out I haven't been able to test my new rig for more than 20 min at a time without hitting the cooling issue.
Just for fun I did order some arctic paste, but two days till it gets here.

its the stock fan heatsink combo not sure of part number on it. standard pipes from cpu into fins with fan on top.

hadn't planned on oc so thought stock would be more than plenty

Just amazon primed. 212 Evo cooler. I'm just a little surprised the stock cooler wouldn't keep simple stuff in check for heat.

my phenom antique never ran that hot with the same stress games etc so didn't even think of upgrading it
