i have a gaming PC that i built around 5 years ago and i'm getting back into pc gaming a bit so its time to upgrade the components so i can start using it again. i'm keeping the case, hard drive, sound card, power supply and gonna try n keep the GPU, its a BFG AX-260 so i think it should be able to keep up with the few games i wanna play i.e.. DAYZ and some older games, nothing hugely demanding. Im planning to upgrade my Motherboard,Processor and ram what motherboard and processor do u guys suggest? id like to get some parts that will last me a few years in it planning to get 8 gig of ram. Id like to get away cheaply as possible but still get quality parts. i also already have windows 8.1

There ... The Best Quality parts And Future Proof

Requiring Only GPU Upgrade In The Future ... These Parts Will Server U For The Years To Come (They Will Easily Last For 5 Years If U Want Demanding Game Play, And Probably 2 ~ 3 More Years Without Needing To Upgrade In Between)

But If U Really Want A More Future Proof PC .. I'd Suggest 3770k

Its True That No Games Are Capable Of Using Hyper Threading For Now ... But U Cant Say That For Future

What CPU/MB/RAM is in the old system? If your budget is $300, a better path to improving game play of that system is likely JUST a GPU replacement.

NOTE: you say you already have Windows 8.1, if it's not a Full Retail copy, you can move the license from an old computer to a new one....

My 8.1 is a full retail copy The reason I'm upgrading is my old components don't support 8.1 It's a old amd. Fx-60 processor ddr2 ram and asus m2n sli mobo. Gpu is a bfg ax-260 Which should handle what I want
