Asus has much better quality and track record, go with them. Plus their cooler performs much better than MSI.

prove it. Please provide us with proof.

As for as I'm concered MSI's TF dominates ASUS's DC U II in cooling. I will admit ASUS is quieter however MSI does a much better job at cooling.

Better quality? MSI has top notch PCBs compared to ASUS not to mention phaser power and capacitors used by MSI compared to ASUS.

Only downfall of MSI is there 'okay' RMA service, however that aside MSI is a much high quality brand when it comes to GPUs

I'll pitch my two cents in for MSI. The Twin Frozr cooling is very good, and quiet. Not that you'll typically notice it over a CPU fan, but it's definitely a plus anyway.

On other GPUs the asus spins almost over 1000rpm less and still out performs. That was just to show that the MSI does not dominate the Asus. And those are significant temperature differences for being the same GPU.

haha we were talking up the ASUS DCII in another thread earlier. its really brilliant. im not aware but does twin forzr cooler have the heat pipes like the asus ?

TF I belive actually has one more heatpipe than the ASUS model but that depends what model your getting like the hawk or the lightning.

@ Munchen
I think you have enough proof to pick MSI.

Can you read properly? 'ASUS vs MSI - 780' I don't see 760 in that. Also the benchmarks are of the 780 aswell.

@Munchen If its the MSI Lightning then definitely better, it's a three fan design and has the highest clocks of a 780.
Yes I will admit the MSI 780 Lightning is a bit hotter than the ASUS Direct CU ii but that's the price it pays for being a ton more powerful than the ASUS version, trust you'd want that. Just make sure you got the right PSU cause it's kinda power hungry
