purchased a new flash drive that has a 8GB memory, can I download a full 2 hour movie on it , then plug it into another computer to watch that movie and erase it when finished?
Yes you will be able to. Just make sure the flash drive format is NTFS and not FAT32 or FAT. If it is a bluray video then NO. Anything else is fine
How can I check the drive for the format NTFS ?
it doesnt have to NTFS, it can be fat. right click on the usb, click properties and look for file system
It would be best if it would be NTFS because when I tried to copy large files on my 8gb flash drive it didn't accept. When i formatted it to NTFS it did.

Right click on the usb, select format, then choose NTFS. This will remove all data on the device. Make sure it is backed up first
