Hi Guys. I hope you can help me.
I upgraded my PC with new motherboard, CPU and RAM yesterday and I can't get any video output. Everything else seems to work fine. ALL FANs are spining like they should.
I don't have any MOBO speakers, so I can't hear if it beeps.
I read alot of other peoples post about the same, without any luck and I just wanted to try you guys before RMA'ing it to ASUS.

Here is my setup:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 X8 3.5GHz 16MB (NEW)
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ ATX (NEW)
RAM: G.Skill DDR3 PC2133 2 x 4GB (NEW)
GFX: Gefore GTX580 (OLD)
PSU: Cooler Master 1000w (OLD)
HDD: Whatever (OLD)

I'd being trying the following:

Unplugged everything, expect CPU, GFX and RAM
Running it with only 1 RAM installed.
Running it with NO RAM installed.
Running it with another GFX.
Cleared CMOS.
Updated BIOS with USB BIOS Flashback (Pretty sure it succeeded, but can't be 100%)

Are there anything else to try? or should I just RMA it.
I talked to my "dealer" and they said it would take about a month of RMA'ing.

I used the 1000w PSU for my old setup with a Intel Quad Core 2.66, and that worked perfectly. My old PSU (550w) wasn't enough to power my GTX 580.

Hi jb6684.
Thx for replying.

I have updated the BIOS through USB BIOS Flashback - I just can't be 100 % sure that it worked because I can't see anything on the screens :)

I have tried the GPU in both PCI-E slots - same result :(

Did you connect that 8 pin CPU power cable? (most older motherboards and power supplies don't have or use this, so, you might easily miss connecting it...)

A few ideas:
- try both DVI and/or VGA outputs on your video card(s)?
- assure that the monitor is set to the matching input (DVI or VGA)?
