Righ laptop speaker making popping sound.

Situation:
Laptop nr2 HDD crashed and I placed it in laptop nr1 to save files using Hirens (15.2 ?) disc. After few hours of trying I managed to copy my files to a sd card and placed HDD back to laptop nr1. When I turned the laptop nr1 (healthy one) on, the right speaker from the moment I pressed power button started to make a popping sound about every second. When I plug headphones in the sound disappears (no popping sound in headphones too). When I put the damaged HDD to laptop nr1 again, the sound also disappears.

I am confused, what could it be? Would a reinstall of OS help?

SOLUTION:

I found out the problem. It were unisolated wires that were touching something (each other or so). They were worn out in one place and when I took the HDD out I moved them a bit I guess. That made them touch and make the speaker go wrong. The replacing of the HDD had effect because it was a bit smaller so it did not touch the wires..:)

I isolated the wires with a tape and everything is back to normal now. Thank you!

There shouldn't be any grounding problems (IMO) as I only unscrewed the bottom, plugged out HDD, plugged in the other HDD and that is it.
The sound does not go away. It is quiet "explosion" sound. It reminds me when I try to connect speakers to the hole and in the moment of connection there is this "explosion" sound.

Thank you for your help, I appreciate it..

ah :/ no problem:) the only thing i can recommend now is to take it to your local repair store or google around a bit to see if others have had the problem, other than that something could have been knocked when the hdd was inserted, hope it gets fixed!
