Hey there!

I have a dream - which is stuffing my components into a tiny Chieftec Flyer FI-01/FI-02 with which I immediately fell in love.

The current setup
cpu: i5-4670K
mobo: MSI Z87I mITX
ram: Crucial Ballistix 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL(9-9-9-24) Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU)
ssd: Plextor PX128-M5S

Questions:
    - Will I be able to get away with DSI-200p PSU that comes with Chieftec's case or do I have to upgrade? If so, would Inwin 300W TFX be enough (http://allegro.pl/inwin-300w-tfx-pfc-2x12v-32a-supercic...)?
    - Which CPU fan should I go for? It's 65mm max in this particular case. I was thinking about Scythe Big Shuriken 2 rev. B or Cooltek Coolforce 2, but I'm not sure if they would block my RAM slots. If so, is it bad to go for 1x8gb instead of 2x4?
    - Do you suggest any other motherboard that might be cheaper than the above one and still allow OC?

Thanks :)
Szymon

Both of those PSUs are complete junk and can easily fry your entire system. DO NOT even use them let alone for overclocking. Change to a Seasonic unit.

What are you overclocking for? What is the intended use for this build?

Try this, looks better and safer...

Case-
RVZ01 by Silverstone set to come out Feb for around $100
Dimension
382mm (W) x 105mm (H) x 350mm (D)
Supports GPUs under 12.5 inches (pretty much any GPU that's not a workstation monster)

SFX PSU-
SILVERSTONE ST45SF 450W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

And use dual channel memory of course, sets of two are better than odd numbers for RAM.

Unless you don't need GPU power and are just making an HTPC, then go for the other if you like the looks.

This build is intended for 3 purposes:
- IDE + dev server
- Photoshop
- music mixing + live sampling of midi instruments connected via an external midi controller (Alesis IO2 Express)

The reason behind OC was 'why not'+'Haswells oc quite well', I didn't really investigate whether I need such horsepower.

Is Seasonic SS300TFX 80+ enough? Anyway, what should I pay attention to when it comes to PSUs? The forementioned InWin is said to have been tested on load on i7-3770 with HD7770 with success, that's why I'm interested in it.

Overclocking that CPU will show no performance gains at all in your uses. It will already do everything you want it ti easily.

You want to stick with quality brands only. Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic. Yes, that Seasonic is great.

Thanks. So it seems that I'm oversensitive :) . You made me think again about a weaker build that I might rebuy from a friend.
It's
i3-2120
MSI B75IA-E33 ITX
Kingston 120GB 2.5" (SV300S37A)
Goodram DDR3 4GB 1333MHz CL9

How big would be the difference for me between the two builds (assuming that I'll add +4GB to the weaker system) given the forementioned purposes (ide+dev server, photoshop, music making/sampling)?

It will be a bit worse because it has a dual core not a quad core, but it has hyper threading so it can act like a quad core depending on the software. IT really depends on the software you use.

So finally I want to degrade to i5-4670 and a cheaper mobo. Do you guys think that it is impossible to use built-in DSI-200p in the above configuration? (there's possibly gonna be an additional 500gb hdd and a slim dvd).

Thanks!
