Does that cpu need BIOS update on that motherboard? What bios those motherboards usually ships whit?
AMD Athlon x4 760K and gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H rev3.0 mboard? Does it need BIOS update?

No you don't need it. This cpu is for Socket FM2. Your motherboard supports FM2 cpus so you don't need bios update.

But GIGABYTE says that for AMD athlon 760k is working from F2 bios onwards???????????????? Has anyone actually tried it?

If your motherboard came with BIOS version F1, then you will need to update the BIOS to at least version F2. If your motherboard came with BIOS version F2 or later, you're good to go.

That bit is not necessary. The website says 'Note: To enable AMD FM2+ APU support, please update your motherboard with latest version of specific BIOS and driver in Motherboard's Download section once available.'
It only goes for CPUs that support Socket FM2+

Maybe ill give it a shot... Its nice to wait 2 weeks for shipments and then notice its not working.. But thanks for help everbody!

I use same set up on one of my rigs and no bios updates needed. Plug and play. Simple as that. Aftermarket cooler + Stock voltage and overcloked to 4.4 easily. Have fun
