Hi guys,

Recently replaced my PSU due to old one making strange noises. After installing it and there seeming to be no power I thought the PSU was dead on arrival, however did the paperclip test and PSU powered up fine.

Everything was working as normal before, but now there appears to be no life in the motherboard when the PSU is connected.

Do you think i've damaged the motherboard when replacing the PSU? I am not sure where to start looking for problems.

Obviously nothing happens when I press the on switch, which could mean I havn't reconnected the wire correctly back to the Mobo, but there is no light on the ethernet port when cable is connected either?

Spec is as follows:
Seasonic x-650
Gigabyte z77x-d3h
intel 3550k
crucial ballistix 8gb

Many thanks,
Sam

You still have the old PSU? If so have you tried it again?
